Clark D. McKeever, MD

Dr. Clark McKeever received his medical degree from the Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and completed his internship and residency at Jefferson Hospital. After serving 4 1/2 years as an orthopedic surgeon in the United States Air Force, he returned to Houston to establish his private practice.

He was board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in 1970 and for 21 years performed surgery and practised general orthopedics and sports medicine. In 1991, he developed an interest in research and now devotes half of his time to osteoporosis, arthiritis, and pain management studies. He has completed over 50 clinical drug trials as principal investigator. He is certified by the ISCD as a Clinical Densitometrist, having supervised over 15,000 DXA scans since 1994.

Dr. McKeever serves as a consultant and speaker for several pharmaceutical companies. He has authored and co-authored numerous papers and abstracts on osteoporosis and osteoarthritis in the medical press and has lectured nationally and throughout Asia.

Societies and memberships include the American Medical Association, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, International Society for Clinical Densitometry, Endocrine Society, and American Society for Bone and Mineral Research. He serves on the Education Committee for the International Society of Clinical Densitometry.
